SM Entertainment is a vicious company! All you have to do is type "Lee Soo Man abuse" or "Super Junior Sue" or "DBSK Sue" and there it is, proof that SM Entertainment is a money sucking company that drains their trainees dry of money and energy.
I mean LOOK AT TAEMIN. He is practically bones. SHINee claims that their body do not gain weight easily and I think that THAT is an exaggeration. Truth to be told, it is obvious that SM Entertainment are starving their artists. I'm not saying that the artists should be ungrateful, as it is true that SM Entertainment propelled most of them to fame. However, there is a THICK line between pushing their trainees hard and preventing them from basic human rights.
1. SM Entertainment get way more than 50% of profits from artists' album sales, digital sales, endorsements, etc. When 50% is already pushing the limits, they actually get close to 95% of the profits. This case is true for DBSK. This means that when SM Entertainment or more specifically, evil money sucking Lee Soo Man gets 95% of the profits, the remaining 5% is split up among 5 members. If I'm not wrong, DBSK also only get a certain among of profit if album sales are above 500k in copies. In lament terms, they get NOTHING if album sales are below 500k. So let us say that they do sell more than 500k copies... per album, each member gets 1 cent.
2. "In reality, 13 years of contract meant a contract for life." The contracts that SM Entertainment offered to their trainees are labelled as slave contracts. It's no surprise, considering how much they are suffering. They can not take a break. For example, if they take a break, 1 week would be added on to the 13 years. So if a member goes for military service, which is approximately 2 years, they are bound to the contract for 15 years. Did they have a choice once they sign the contract? The answer is obvious: NO. In the instance that the contract would be breached, the penalty would be to pay 3 times the total investment, 2 times the lost earnings. That is more money than one can imagine. Termination of the contract is therefore impossible. No break meant No break. If any one was sick, they still had to work. That is how Hankyung of Super Junior got gastritis and kidney illness and he suffered from fatigue. By the way, he also filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment for mostly the same reasons. By the time his contract expires, he would be 35. Go figure.
3. SM Entertainment starves their artists. It's obvious that they are starving them. I mean, COME ON! Rumours of SNSD(Girls' Generation) only eating 800 calories a day arose. How did SM Entertainment simmer down the angry fans and netizens? "It is not 800 calories. The girls eat 1200 calories a day, not 800 calories." Wow, that makes a load of difference. They are eating much lesser than what a woman ought to eat a day. LOOK AT TAEMIN! He is practically skin and bones! WTH, they(SHINee) claim that their bodies are the sort to not gain weight easily. But THIS is an exaggeration! WHAT AN OUTRAGE! I know Taemin just hit puberty and that he is having a grow spurt and everything, but it is just SO OBVIOUS that he is not eating enough. Please watch this video. (You can forward it to about 3:40) You can tell that they want to eat it.
4. Lee Soo Man Abuses the SM Entertainment Artists! Oh just google it. I'm way too agitated to continue. I'm not kidding about the abusing. It's the concrete truth. He's a douche bag.
All you have to do is google and you would know everything. What I'm blogging about is just the gist of the situation. Super Junior may disband, and this affects all of the bands under SM Entertainment. Ultimately, I'm worried for Super Junior and SHINee, especially Taemin. Therefore, boycott all SM Entertainment products till everything is done right.
